Patla Sambhrama 2024

Patla Sambhrama 2024: Celebrating Unity and Culture in Mangalore

Patla Sambhrama 2024, held at Adyar Garden, Mangalore on May 26th, brought together Yakshagana artists and enthusiasts to foster unity and harmony. Organised by the Patla Foundation Trust (R.), the event celebrated Karnataka’s diverse culture with vibrant performances of Yakshagana, drama, and dance.

The Patla Trust extended accident insurance coverage to over 3,500 artists, becoming the second institution in India to achieve this. The Trust also launched a program offering free Yakshagana training to 4,000 children, surpassing the achievements of any other organisation in the field. The dedication of Bhagavata Patla Satish Shetty remains a beacon of inspiration.

Over the past eight years, the Foundation has supported Yakshagana with service projects exceeding Rs. 11.5 crore. The Patla Prashasti recognised outstanding contributions with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a silver medal, and a plaque. The Yakshashraya scheme addressed housing needs, and the Gaurava Dhana provided financial assistance to artists in hardship. The Foundation also supported families of deceased artists through tributes.

Patla Sambhrama 2024 stands as a testament to embracing experiences for growth and striving for excellence.

Veteran Yakshagana artiste Ramachandra Hegde Kondadakuli was honoured with the 2024 Yakshadhruva Patla Award. Actor Kiccha Sudeep was present at the Yakshadhruva Patla celebrations.
