‘Yakshagana’ is a well-known performing art form of coastal Karnataka. The Patla Foundation has taken the onus upon itself to spread Yakshagana not just along the Coastal Karnataka but also worldwide. Today, Yakshagana is being showcased internationally under the guidance of Patla Satish. Dedicated, well-known senior artists have exerted considerable effort to safeguard and development this art. The Patla Foundation recongnises and honors the works of senior Yakshagana artists namely Shri Purushottama Poonja Puttigere, Shri Narayana Shetty, Shri Balipa Narayana, Shri Prabhakara Joshi and Ganesha Kolekadi by publishing their books. Patla Foundation is committed to continue this service.
