In the year 2023, this comprehensive insurance initiative has been successfully implemented, offering coverage to approximately 2600 artists.
This groundbreaking scheme is designed to provide financial relief and assistance in times of adversity. In the unfortunate event of an artist being involved in an accident—be it a vehicular mishap or any other unfortunate incident—the scheme offers a substantial benefit. Under collaborative efforts with the Department of Post, a project has been set in motion to allocate ₹60,000 for medical treatment expenses for artists injured in any accident.
Furthermore, the Accident Insurance Plan unfolds with an additional layer of security, offering a distinctive feature of compensation. In the tragic event of an artist’s demise due to an accident, the scheme provides a significant compensation amounting to ₹10,00,000 to their grieving family. This initiative is reiterated annually during the Patla celebrations, emphasizing the ongoing commitment of the Patla Foundation to the welfare and security of the artistic community.
